## Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays in Pune. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Responsibilities**

- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.

- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Stay up-to-date with industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organisation's technology communities.

- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure secure software solutions.

- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

**Requirements**

- Experience with Java Spring Boot microservices, GitLab pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

- Knowledge of Gradle scripts, JUnit, and Cucumber.

- Familiarity with MongoDB, OpenApi specification, and Redhat OpenShift.

**Nice to Have**

- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and Gitlab.
