## Description

We are seeking a Security Team Leader to work part-time at Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of members of the public who visit the Centre, as well as assisting retailers and staff within the Centre.

The Security Team Leader will work 42 hours per week on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern, with paid breaks at a rate of £15.25 per hour. We offer 20 days annual leave, including public holidays.

Key responsibilities include:

- Dealing with customer complaints

- Assisting members of the public when requested

- Attending first aid incidents

- Fire/bomb evacuation procedures

- Assisting retailers with shoplifting incidents

- Policing the customer and staff car parks

- Dealing with lost/found children and property

- Assisting motorists within the car park

- Monitoring the Centre's fire alarm panel and CCTV system

- Reporting defects and spillages within the Centre

- Signing in visitors to the Centre Management

- Operating and monitoring the Centre's intruder alarm system

- Controlling contractors and ensuring compliance with Centre Operational Policy

- Opening and closing the Centre

- Carrying out bank escorts

- Police liaison on community and criminal matters

- Enforcing the no smoking policy

- Implementing emergency procedures when required

- Patrolling the mall areas to prevent crime and unruly behaviour

- Customer Service Desk duties, such as hiring out equipment and issuing Gyle Gift Cards

- Carrying out weekly checks on retailer's compliance with the Fire Precautions Act 1971

- Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks in the workplace
