## Description

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

**Creative Innovation** sits at the intersection of emerging technology, creative craft, and game-making , developing the tools, partnerships, and breakthroughs that help EA's studios create more ambitiously. We innovate alongside game teams, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and our work reaches players through the world's most beloved games.

We're at the forefront of environmental tools development for flagship titles like Battlefield and our sports franchises, creating procedural tools for buildings, stadiums, crowds, and cities. Our mission is to bridge the gap between complex technical systems and intuitive creative workflows.

We're looking for an Experience Designer 2 with a track record in user experience and UX research to join our team. You'll lead meaningful change in the way game development tools are designed and used. You'll dive deep into the pain points of world-builders and technical artists, using data-driven insights to influence the next generation of EA's internal creative ecosystem. You'll report to a Development Director.

**Responsibilities:"

- Conduct user research end-to-end, interviewing technical artists and developers to uncover friction points in environment-building workflows.

- Translate complex, unstructured data from user sessions and analytics into clear design recommendations and high-fidelity prototypes.

- Design and improve on UI/UX solutions for procedural tools that align with (or help define) a cohesive internal design system.

- Partner with Technical Art Directors and Engineers to balance backend capabilities and frontend usability.

- Experiment with LLMs and AI-driven design methodologies to automate repetitive tasks and enhance the creative output of our teams.

- Present research findings and design concepts to diverse audiences, advocating for the user while balancing project constraints.

**Requirements:"

- A Strategic Researcher: You design interview guides to uncover the "why" and identify meaningful patterns in complex data sets.

- A Systems Architect: You understand how changes in one tool impact the broader game development pipeline.

- A Technical Bridge: You translate complex design or technical concepts into clear insights for diverse audiences.

- A Collaborative Partner: You're comfortable partnering with Product Managers, Technical Artists, and Engineers to achieve shared goals.

- An Innovation Catalyst: You advocate for integrating AI/LLMs and procedural technologies to solve UX challenges.

- An Agile Learner: You adapt to evolving requirements and quickly pick up new platforms (like Coda) to meet team needs.

**Preferred Qualifications:"

- 1+ years of experience building UI design systems

- 1+ years of experience using AI/LLMs to produce prototypes
