## Description

Hillingdon Council is recruiting Home Finder Officers to support the delivery of private rented sector (PRS) supply and housing solutions. This is a key role at the heart of the housing system - helping residents access accommodation and increasing housing supply through landlord engagement.

You will play an important role in preventing homelessness, reducing reliance on temporary accommodation and improving outcomes for residents.

There are multiple vacancies available within the Homefinder Team, including:

- Homefinder Officer (Property Procurement): Focused on securing suitable private rented sector (PRS) accommodation for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

- Home Finder Officer (Tenancy Sustainment): Focused on providing practical advice, guidance and ongoing support to tenants who have recently moved into PRS accommodation secured through the Council, helping them to sustain their tenancy successfully.

- Home Finder Officer (Allocations): Focused on matching available PRS properties to suitable households, ensuring accommodation is allocated effectively to those who are homeless, threatened with homelessness, or currently living in temporary accommodation.

**Responsibilities:**

- Source and secure PRS properties for residents

- Build and manage relationships with landlords, agents and providers

- Support prevention, relief and move-on from temporary accommodation

- Negotiate terms and secure cost-effective housing solutions

- Inspect and assess properties to ensure suitability and compliance

- Promote the benefits of working with the Council to landlords

- Manage a pipeline of supply and deliver against procurement targets

**Requirements:**

- Experience in housing, property, procurement or a customer-facing role
