## Description

Wise is on a mission to build money without borders , instant, convenient, transparent, and eventually free. You will lead the Verification Platform team within the Business Onboarding Verification (BOV) organisation, based in London.

The team owns the platform rails that Business verification is built on. Your mission is to lead, coach, and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, own the technical roadmap for the BOV platform, and partner with BOV Global, Personal Onboarding, Wise Platform Verification, and Mitigation Handling.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers

- Own the technical roadmap for the BOV platform

- Partner with other teams to serve real product needs

- Be an active contributor to delivery and support day-to-day execution

- Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement

- Ensure operational excellence and on-call rotas

- Collaborate globally with engineering leads

Requirements:

- Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers

- Experience building and leading platform/infrastructure teams

- Solid Java knowledge and hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot

- Strong system-design skills with real experience of distributed, high-throughput, resilient services

- Excellent communication skills
