## Description

The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Sous Chef in the overall kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Kitchen operation and administration.

The role involves exhibiting culinary talents by personally performing tasks while assisting in leading the staff and managing all food-related functions. The Sous Chef also assists in supervising all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced.

Key responsibilities include:

- Adherence to company policies

- Managing physical inventory, daily high-cost perpetual inventory, and data entry for inventory, purchases, and sales

- Monitoring food costs, labor costs, and scheduling

- Ensuring food quality and specification, recipe adherence, and sanitation standards

- Leading the back-of-house team and providing training

- Participating in events, menu changes, and launches

- Communicating effectively with chefs, sous chefs, and other stakeholders

Requirements include:

- A college or culinary school degree is preferred but not necessary

- At least 2 years of experience in a kitchen managerial role in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant

- Computer knowledge, including Excel, Windows, and POS systems
