## Description

Job Cruise is one of Princess Cruises' official hiring partners. We're looking for a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry to join our team.

As a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry, you will be responsible for executing production in the Pastry area and stations according to company recipes and presentation, as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry. You will also ensure that assigned section recipe files are maintained and available to assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

- Execute production in the Pastry area and stations according to company recipes and presentation, as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry.

- Maintain and update assigned section recipe files to ensure they are available to assigned staff.

- Practice batch cooking and preparation for soufflés, puddings, crème brûlée, and other pastry items.

- Demonstrate an ongoing understanding of the ingredient consumption required for daily production in accordance with company recipes.

- Supervise and mentor Commis Pastry in an assigned service station during operational activities.

- Assist in on-the-job training for new hire Pastry staff as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef De Partie Pastry.

Requirements:

- Formal qualification in Pastry Arts from a recognized culinary training institution.

- At least four years of pastry experience with at least one year experience as 1st Commis Pastry.

- Recent experience in high-volume Pastry production preferably from large hotels/resorts or cruise ships.

- Solid knowledge of international pastry recipes and preparation process.

- Solid knowledge of USPH Standards, Food Safety and Waste Management.

- Command of the English language, both verbal and written.

- Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests.
