## Description

We are looking for FinCrime Investigators to join our growing AML Investigations team in Budapest. As a FinCrime Investigator, you will be protecting customers and Wise by investigating and reporting suspicious activity.

Your mission: Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking.

Key responsibilities:

- Carry out reviews on alerted accounts based on internal and external information

- Assess actual payment activity and payment patterns

- Obtain further supporting information to mitigate ML/TF concerns

- Request and analyse supporting documents when needed

- Take ownership of an individual investigation and escalate suspicious activity in accordance with internal procedures

- Participate in an active feedback loop between the AML Investigation team and developers/product teams to improve product quality from a compliance perspective

Qualifications:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

- Experience in operations, compliance, or a related field, preferably with exposure to financial crime or AML processes

- Proven ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations, analyse complex data, and draw logical conclusions

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

- Ability to work independently and make decisions within well-defined procedures

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and manage time efficiently

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
