## Description

You will lead a team of 8-10 full-stack engineers as the Engineering Manager of the AI Transformation team. Your primary mission will be to partner with business units across Dialpad to design, build, and deploy AI tools that fundamentally transform and streamline our internal operations and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Directly managing a team of engineers, supporting their performance and career growth through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring.

- Working closely with leadership and senior engineers to define a 1 to 3-year roadmap & vision for the team.

- Evaluating technical design & architecture documents and proposals on an ongoing basis.

- Aligning with geographically distributed peers to prioritize engineering-wide goals.

- Owning large projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, planning, resource allocation, and sometimes execution.

- Driving effective engineering processes and policies.

- Scaling the team by recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds.

- Getting hands-on when necessary and assisting with writing code, providing feedback on technical implementations & conducting architectural reviews.

- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of our internal AI tools,from initial design and architecture to successful deployment and adoption,ensuring they meet the needs of all Dialpad business units.

As a successful candidate, you will bring:

- 2+ years of experience leading a high-performing team of engineers, including managing and shipping cross-functional or multi-team projects.

- 10+ years of professional experience as an engineer or engineering leader.

- Experience with the development of performant, scalable customer-facing applications.

- Onboarding & mentorship experience.
