## Description

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Soho House Portland, located at 1025 SE Pine St, Portland, OR 97214.

As a Bartender at Soho House, you will be responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving food, and providing exceptional service to our guests and members.

Main Duties:

- Prepare cocktails, juices, coffee, and other drinks to the highest standard

- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including washing glassware and utensils, and cleaning up after customers

- Educate guests and members about our beverage options, including seasonal specials and food pairing recommendations

- Collect payment for all sold items and handle cash transactions

- Check identification of customers to ensure they meet age requirements for purchasing alcohol

- Create attractive displays of bottles and glasses to promote specific beverage options

- Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner

- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and delegate replenishment tasks to Barbacks

- Mix ingredients according to drink recipes to maintain a globally unified beverage program

Required Skills/Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume food and beverage operation

- Craft cocktail experience and knowledge of seasonally influenced perishable items

- Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner

- Strong communication and people skills

- Flexible schedule and reliable

- OLCC-certified

- Experience with Micros is a plus

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to lift, carry, or pull at least 40 pounds

- Occasional kneeling, bending, and crouching required
