## Description

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer intern, you'll work alongside full-time FDIEs to deploy and operate Palantir software across real production environments, automate manual processes, and develop novel solutions to infrastructure challenges using tools like Foundry and Apollo.

## Core Responsibilities

As an FDIE intern, your responsibilities will include:

- Deploying and operating Palantir software across production environments, including monitoring, alerting, configuration management, and upgrades

- Debugging, improving, and optimizing Palantir's services and infrastructure with a focus on long-term reliability and scalability

- Reducing manual operations by automating workflows, processes, and runbooks wherever possible

- Developing novel solutions in Palantir's Foundry and Apollo platforms to solve infrastructure challenges

- Confidence troubleshooting complex systems issues using observability tools and service logs

- Comfort with large-scale production systems and technologies , such as load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, or configuration management

- Ability to identify and automate highly manual tasks, driving ongoing improvements within and across teams

- Eagerness to creatively solve technical problems using cloud infrastructure, storage systems, and other infrastructure tooling

## What We Require

- Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance prior to start of internship

- Engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science

- Strong proficiency with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Go, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar

- Must be planning on graduating in 2028. This should be your final internship before graduating
