## Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist for our Acute Care locations, specifically at Atrium Health Cabarrus and Atrium Health Mercy. This is a PRN opportunity, not a float/travel position.

**Job Summary:** As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, establish patient care plans, and provide necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, and patient education. You will also document evaluations, tests, progress notes, and discharge notes.

**Responsibilities:**

- Evaluate patients and develop patient care plans

- Gather and interpret data from medical records, physician reports, and patients/families

- Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, and discharge notes

- Re-evaluate patients as needed and modify goals and treatment plans

- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff

- Provide patient and family education on deficits, progress, and therapeutic techniques

- Direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers

**Physical Requirements:**

- Hearing and vision adequate for communication and reading

- Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead

- Lifting of patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally

- Ability to laterally transfer patients up to 100 pounds

**Education, Experience, and Certifications:**

- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

- Applicable state license for Physical Therapy

- CPR Certification and BLS required
