## Description

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help provide exceptional customer service and support the smooth operation of the store.

Your drive to go the extra mile will make all the difference to the impression our customers have about the Waitrose brand and keep them returning again and again by earning their trust and loyalty for a lifetime.

In addition to your contractual pay of £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days), any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Stock replenishment to ensure shelves remain full and products are in the right place at the right time

- Fulfilling online customer orders ready for delivery

- Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns

- Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout support and managing Click & Collect orders

- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

**Essential skills/experience**

- Communication skills to enable effective teamwork and customer interactions

**Desirable skills/experience**

- Experience of working in a customer-facing role

- Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends

- Flexible approach to support the whole branch

The role involves working 15 hours per week across weekends, with shifts on Saturday and Sunday mornings (01:00 – 09:00) and Saturday and Sunday nights (22:00 – 06:00).
