## Description

WSP is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join their Property & Buildings team in Miami, FL.

The successful candidate will provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, improvement, and/or construction of building projects in the public and private sector.

Responsibilities:

- Apply high-level structural engineering techniques and processes to identify improvements for various building project phases.

- Perform professional structural engineering work and conduct research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, and buildings.

- Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and update layout plans.

- Coordinate design efforts with teams of engineers, architects, planners, and other building consultant professionals.

- Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, sketches, calculations, cross-sections, and 2D/3D illustrations.

- Analyze, evaluate, and interpret data obtained during site investigations.

- Interact with architects, consultants, and clients in a confident and professional manner.

- Remain current in the latest structural engineering techniques and practices.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.

- 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in structural design.

- Professional Engineer license required.

- Structural Engineer (SE) license required, or the ability to demonstrate that the licensure can be achieved quickly.

- Proficient with structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues.
