## Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Maintenance Engineer to take responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), and associated property and site infrastructure.

The role involves a combination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and general site maintenance, ensuring that facilities, machinery, buildings, and essential services remain safe, operational, and compliant.

Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the MRF

- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing processing equipment and associated machinery

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults

- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns

- Assisting with maintenance of conveyors, screens, balers, compactors, motors, pumps, and other recycling equipment

- Identifying recurring faults and recommending improvements to improve reliability

- Maintaining the general infrastructure and facilities across HWRC sites

- Inspecting and repairing skips, bays, barriers, gates, fencing, signage, and other site equipment

- Carrying out general building and property maintenance

Essential criteria:

- Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, facilities, or similar practical role

- Good mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills

- Practical experience repairing and maintaining buildings, equipment, and site infrastructure

- Ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance requirements

- Full UK driving licence, where travel between sites is required
