## Description

As a Project Financial Advisor at WSP, you will partner with project managers, delivery teams, Controllers, and billing colleagues to strengthen financial governance, support informed decisions, and help projects move from setup through successful closure.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing support and oversight on a portfolio of projects with multiple project managers across business units.

- Attending regular meetings with the Project Delivery Team on the financial status of projects.

- Leading the financial review for projects to ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.

- Assisting project managers through the financial lifecycle of a project, including setup, monitoring, updating, and closure.

- Ensuring accurate reflection of a project's financial status by timely recording of all cost and revenue transactions.

- Setting up and updating projects accurately to mirror the as-sold price, cost, and margin of the contract.

- Working with the Project Delivery Team to ensure timely project reviews, preparation and updates of ETCs and EACs, and addressing financial issues.

- Assessing project financial risks and assisting in updating the project risk register and revenue adjustment forms.

- Training and educating the Project Delivery Team on project analysis tools, dashboards, Oracle, and related systems.

- Applying in-depth knowledge of the company's revenue and costing methodologies.

- Assisting with external and internal project audit requirements.

- Understanding commercial, billing, and payment terms on the project and liaising with the Billing team.

- Preparing and analyzing variances pertaining to cost and revenue.

- Providing financial assistance during the bid and pursuit phase.

- Preparing ad hoc financial reports for the Controller and Management.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in administration or accounting.

- 3+ years of experience in project accounting and financial and operational management.

- Knowledge of the professional services industry, project-based accounting, and ERP systems.

- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

- Demonstrated professional judgment and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent command of Microsoft Windows tools.

- Excellent spoken and written French skills.

- Knowledge of Oracle would be an asset.
