## Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and patient-centred Practice Nurse / General Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive primary care team.

The successful candidate will be the practice's main nurse and will therefore play an important role in supporting the safe, effective and well-organised delivery of nursing services across the practice.

**Main duties of the job**

The postholder will provide a range of general practice nursing services, including:

- Cervical screening

- Childhood immunisations

- Adult immunisations

- Travel vaccinations

- Wound care and dressings

- B12 injections

- Other injections under appropriate PGDs or PSDs

- Health checks

- Phlebotomy where appropriate

- Support for long-term condition reviews within their competency

The postholder will also support key nursing processes, including:

- Recall systems

- Vaccine ordering and stock management

- Cold-chain monitoring

- Infection prevention and control

- Nursing protocols

- Clinical audits and quality improvement work

Morris House is situated in Tottenham in a large, modern and airy purpose-built Medical Centre, which we share with district nurses, community physiotherapists, podiatrists, psychologists, tissue-viability nurses and a sexual health clinic. Our list size is about 15,000 patients.

**Requirements**

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

- Experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a relevant primary care nursing role

- Competent to deliver core nursing services within general practice

- Competent in cervical screening, or willing to complete any required update training

- Competent in childhood immunisations and adult vaccinations
