## Description

The Closing Team Leader role at Target involves ensuring the store is prepared for closure, prioritising tasks through the eyes of the guest, and driving sales volume and profitability results.

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches

- Prioritise the guest experience and model, train, and coach expectations to deliver the service standard

- Understand the role in sales growth and how each area contributes to total store profitability

- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing best practices

- Problem-solve and prioritise across multiple business areas

- Assist leaders through communication and collaboration

- Support store operations and set the store up for success

- Use business planning tools to share priorities and business updates

- Take action to achieve performance goals

- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team

- Support team onboarding and learning

- Support the leader in establishing clear goals and expectations

- Follow all safe and secure training and processes

- Address store emergency and compliance needs

- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Lead and demonstrate a safety culture

- Model creating a welcoming experience for guests

- Engage with guests in a welcoming way

- Lead by thanking guests and letting them know they're happy they chose to shop at Target

- Model the execution of physical security processes

- Support merchandise protection strategies

- Support guest services such as order pickup and Drive-up orders

Requirements:

- Previous retail experience preferred but not required

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Ability to lead and hold others accountable

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks

- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members

- Effective communication skills

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
