## Description

Duolingo is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their Monetization team. As a Staff Designer, you will play a key role in defining how users experience value through subscriptions, ads, and in-app purchases. You will report to the Director of Product Design on Monetization and be an instrumental creative partner in key monetization vectors at Duolingo.

Responsibilities:

- Define and evolve both free and paid user experiences across Monetization surfaces within the Duolingo language app

- Play a leadership role on the Monetization design team in shaping product roadmap and development

- Partner with engineers and product managers to define long-term strategy and short-term tactics for products

- Work collaboratively with designers and artists to build upon and expand the Duolingo design language

- Consider all parts when crafting the experience, from copy to animation to business impact

Requirements:

- Online portfolio with consumer mobile app or web design samples

- Design experience in a consumer application, product, or software role

- Desire to strive for excellence in work until all details are attended to

- Ability to explain work, process, and decisions and seek feedback

Nice to Have:

- Experience designing for fast-paced Monetization, Growth, or subscription-based products

- Experience with strong experimentation culture and iterative improvements

- Interest in developing design talent and improving design craft
