## Description

IOM is seeking a Supply Chain Associate (Asset) to assist with asset management activities in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, conducting physical inventories, ensuring compliance with IOM policies and procedures, and safeguarding organizational assets.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the management of office property, plant, equipment, and other organisational assets

- Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date asset register

- Coordinating the receipt, inspection, recording, and allocation of newly acquired assets

- Conducting periodic physical verification and inventory counts of assets

- Monitoring the condition, utilisation, and operational status of assets

- Coordinating asset-related insurance coverage, warranties, and service agreements

- Reporting and documenting lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed assets

- Supporting the identification and processing of obsolete, surplus, damaged, or uneconomical assets for disposal

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with three years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills include:

- High level of computer literacy

- Ability to work with national and international institutions

- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to establish realistic resource requirements to meet IOM needs

Fluency in English is required, and working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is desirable.
