## Description

WSP USA is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to support its Transportation Facilities Group in the New York office. The successful candidate will work on varied projects in the transportation field within the NY Metro Region, including designs in rail and bus stations, airports, transportation hubs, and rail systems.

The role involves:

- Developing structural design details and drawings, including calculations for new construction and renovation work

- Creating drawings in REVIT (BIM), AutoCAD, and MicroStation

- Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Mathcad Prime to develop structural calculation packages

- Knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAP, STAAD.Pro, RAM Steel, ETABS, and/or SAFE

- Conducting field inspections of structural systems of transportation facilities

- Completing training related to assigned tasks

Typical projects include transportation facilities, aviation structures, parks, and recreation centers.

The ideal candidate has:

- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering

- 0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience

- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Attention to detail with an emphasis on quality work products

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, experience using structural design software, and Engineer in Training Certification.
