## Description

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician to support computer data communications systems. The role involves designing specifications, testing, and inspecting computer networks, planning and implementing upgrades, and analyzing hardware and software solutions through network modeling.

Responsibilities:

- Install and maintain client LAN/WAN devices

- Respond to and resolve incident tickets

- Draft and implement standard network change requests

- Support Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects

- Perform configuration management functions, update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory

- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades

- Experience with Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, including CAT5, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP

- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching, including VLAN's, Port Security, Thin Configs

- Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade, and Foundry OS

- Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE

- Familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence

- Up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities

Requirements:

- TS/SCI clearance with Poly

- 10 years of experience, combining work history and education

- Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2

- Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model

- Basic routing fundamentals

- Ability to travel 25% of the time

- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

- Office presence a minimum of 5 days per week

Pay Range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
