## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Analysis - Card Services Data at Capital One, you will partner cross-functionally with teams to validate business-impacting analytical tools, enhancing your technical and analytical skills while influencing business strategies.

You will refine a new enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework, plan and execute validation projects, assess tool methodologies, understand technical issues, and communicate results effectively.

The role requires strong problem-solving, conceptual thinking, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. You will handle multiple concurrent projects, working independently and in teams.

**Responsibilities:**

- Refine a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework

- Plan and execute validation projects

- Assess the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies

- Understand technical issues in analytical tools and assess risks and opportunities

- Independently research industry best practices for emerging analytical tools

- Communicate results clearly and concisely

- Leverage education, colleagues, and training to develop solutions

- Coach and mentor junior staff

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science) with 7+ years of data analytics experience

- Master's degree with 5+ years of experience performing data analytics

- At least 5 years of professional data analysis experience

- 5+ years of experience with open-source data technologies

- 2+ years of experience managing people

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's or PhD in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research

- 7+ years of experience in statistical or econometrics work

- 5+ years of experience manipulating large data sets

- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry

- Experience with data governance and predictive analytics

**Salary Information:**

- McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100

- Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300
