## Description

3M is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its India Engineering organisation at its Electronic City, Bengaluru manufacturing plant and R&D Centre.

The Project Engineer will manage capital investment projects supporting manufacturing and laboratories, using engineering knowledge and skills to lead cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing project timelines and budgets

- Interacting with multiple discipline teams, including plant personnel, consultants, and suppliers

- Specifying equipment performance and design criteria

- Estimating capital equipment and installation costs

- Defining and executing competitive bidding strategies

- Overseeing plant equipment layout and design

- Coordinating construction activity

- Leading equipment commissioning

- Protecting 3M intellectual property

- Communicating effectively with project teams, facility staff, and stakeholders

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical engineering from an accredited university and 10 years of combined work experience in project, plant, and/or manufacturing engineering positions.

Preferred qualifications include 10 years of experience in project engineering/capital project management roles in manufacturing process industries, R&D setups, or GCC/office setups, as well as knowledge of automotive film converting, tape coating lines, slitting, converting, filling, and packaging equipment.
