## Description

As a Junior Geotechnical Engineer in our GTA West Group, you will support and supervise geotechnical investigations and contribute to engineering projects that shape the future of infrastructure across Ontario.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising geotechnical investigations, including test pitting, borehole drilling, and in-situ testing

- Supporting the coordination of geotechnical investigation and laboratory testing

- Completing geotechnical analyses, such as bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability, under the guidance of intermediate and senior engineers

- Providing technical support on geotechnical projects, including field investigations, interpretation of laboratory test results, and geotechnical design and analysis

- Assisting senior team members in preparing geotechnical studies, proposals, and engineering reports for projects of low to medium complexity

- Participating in and promoting a safety-first culture

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's considered an asset)

- 1-3 years of relevant post-degree experience in geotechnical consulting

- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO

- A sense of initiative, attention to detail, and team spirit

- Strong technical writing skills, interpersonal communication, and emotional intelligence

- A commitment to safe work practices for yourself and your colleagues

- Willingness to work outside the office and on project sites as required

- A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

In terms of compensation, the salary range for this position is:

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 – $88,400

- MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800

- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 – $80,000
