The role of a Human Resources Expert can provide you with the skills and experience of understanding federal, state, and local employment laws, using basic Microsoft Office Suite computer and workforce management programs, and effectively using scheduling software. As a Human Resources Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: - Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments such as greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience. - Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. - Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. - Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business. - Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates. - Support team member and leader training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning. - Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices. - Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption. - Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience. - Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. - Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: - Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members. - Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed. - Effective communication skills. - Work both independently and with a team. - Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. - Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes. - Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
