## Description

We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join the team at Sarum Road Hospital in Winchester. The successful candidate will work on a bank shift basis, supporting the nursing department at Chestnut Ward, a welcoming surgical unit providing a range of elective inpatient and day-case services.

The role involves delivering person-centred care, including assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, toileting, and emotional support. You will also carry out basic clinical tasks, such as monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels, and patient observations, following training and competency. Other duties include:

- Assisting with clinical procedures and the preparation of equipment and materials

- Reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing team promptly

- Acting as a role model and mentor to junior healthcare assistants

- Helping coordinate the daily allocation of tasks

To be considered for this role, you should have:

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification/experience)

- Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting

- Ability to carry out delegated clinical tasks safely and confidently

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to support and supervise junior staff members

Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.00 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
