## Description

Howden Re is seeking a Contract Drafter to create, develop, and maintain reinsurance contract documentation.

As a Contract Drafter, you will learn to draft reinsurance contracts, interests and liabilities agreements, and related documents in coordination with brokers, clients, and reinsurers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing knowledge of insurance/reinsurance concepts to assist broker teams with various projects

- Drafting reinsurance contracts, interests and liabilities agreements, and related documents under the supervision of experienced contract drafters

- Ensuring contract wording reflects the intent of reinsurance negotiations

- Participating in Request for Proposal and sales presentations to recommend coverage and wording enhancements

- Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, clients, and reinsurers

- Participating in department meetings to share opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions

- Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Four-year college degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience

- Law degree (J.D.) helpful but not required

- 0-5 years of experience with reinsurance contracts

- Extensive MS Word experience and expertise

- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent organization skills

- Legally authorized to work in the US
