## Description

We are seeking a full-time Area Manager to launch and operate one of our inaugural fulfilment centres. As a key member of the Flexport team, you will lead a team of 30-100 and be responsible for managing a process on the operating floor. You will utilise the tools, processes, and operations that drive Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone.

Your duties will include coaching, managing, and developing a team, communicating policies, creating recognition programmes, supporting safety programmes, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. You will also be responsible for owning performance reporting, facilitating troubleshooting, and serving as an escalation point to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and work in varying temperatures. You will also need to be willing to work any permanent shift, including overnights and holidays. Prior experience in warehousing, fulfilment, or transportation/logistics management is essential.

You will receive three months of onboarding and training at our Des Plaines, IL site before transitioning to Pleasant Prairie, WI.
