## Description

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our team at The Sidcup Care Home in Sidcup. The successful candidate will provide person-centred care to our residents, supporting their independence and honouring their choices.

The Sidcup Care Home offers nursing and residential care, both long-term and short-stay care, in a purpose-built home with modern comforts and conveniences. The home has a warm and homely environment, with en-suite facilities, dining rooms, lounges, a cinema lounge, gardens, a hairdressing salon, and a private lounge.

As a Care Assistant, you will:

- Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements, from companionship to personal care

- Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure documentation and reporting of any changes

- Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan

- Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually

- Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

- Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification
