## Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Roving Compliance Officer to support the Compliance Department of IRC Kenya. The officer will be responsible for fostering a culture of integrity, ethics, and accountability across the organization, promoting ethical conduct among staff, ensuring prompt and consistent handling of misconduct allegations, and implementing proactive prevention strategies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Screen and assess incoming complaints to determine appropriate course of action

- Draft investigation related documents and communications

- Conduct interviews with complainants, subjects, and witnesses

- Identify, collate, and analyze potential evidence to support investigation findings

- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and present findings and recommendations

- Support and follow up on the implementation of corrective action plans

- Conduct system reviews in collaboration with relevant departments to identify compliance gaps

- Monitor the implementation of risk mitigation measures and track progress

- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely responses to compliance audit requirements and recommendations

- Champion a culture of reporting on ethics and compliance concerns

- Support partnership management by reviewing and evaluating partner processes from a compliance perspective

- Review partner agreements and contracts to ensure alignment with IRC policies and procedures

- Design and facilitate training sessions that promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and compliance

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant social science (e.g. Criminal Justice/Criminology, sociology, law, finance)

- Five years' experience

- Proven ability to analyze data to report critical information

- Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, in English and Kiswahili

- Excellent analytical, presentation, and reporting skills

- Ability to respond to changing priorities

- Ability to work independently on own initiative

- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

- High level of integrity, professionalism, self-motivation and sense of urgency

- Strong commitment to IRC's mission, purpose and values
