## Description

As a PhD Intern on our Machine Learning team, you will be working on developing and deploying machine learning models to improve our recommendation systems. You will be part of a world-class team that is revolutionizing the entertainment industry and empowering millions of players worldwide.

During this 12 or 16-week internship, you will have the opportunity to conduct experiments at scale with millions of users globally, vast datasets, and cutting-edge client-server technologies. You will engage with Roblox as part of your PhD thesis during the internship and beyond on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities:

- Perform hands-on ML Engineering, develop prototypes, and conduct experiments to solve challenging problems.

- Transition and apply innovative ML breakthroughs into large scale production systems.

Requirements:

- Pursuing or recently completed a PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a thesis aligned to Roblox areas.

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python, C++, Lua, Swift, C#, or Java.

- Published and presented peer-reviewed articles in top-tier venues.

- Proficiency in coding, with experience building and optimizing large-scale systems.
