## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 9th-12th Grade Science Teacher at Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritises student learning and social-emotional development.

### Responsibilities

The teacher's responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

- Utilising research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behaviour in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Utilising school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating and meeting with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

- Participating in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

### Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

- An active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area

- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- A high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- The ability to properly manage confidential information

- The ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings

- The ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working within an urban environment
