## What You'll Do:

Our Data Center Operations team is at the physical core of our business, responsible for building, maintaining, and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers the cloud. This team ensures the stability, security, and scalability of our physical assets, working hands-on in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. You will join a collaborative and curious group that is essential to delivering a best-in-class experience for our clients.

## About the role:

The Data Center Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and may include participation in an on-call rotation. This is a salaried, 100% onsite role at one of our Data Center locations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.

- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.

- Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.

- Train internal teams.

- Develop documentation.

- Provide technical support to data center teams.

- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.

- Maintain inventory.

- Assemble and install equipment.

- Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.

- Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.

- Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.

## Who You Are:

- Experience with computer hardware, including troubleshooting and assembling.

- Linux Operating System experience.

- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.

- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces.

- Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.

- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift.

- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.

- Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.

- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center with fluctuating temperatures.

## Preferred:

- Hands-on or education-based experience with computer hardware, data center operations, computer networking, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages, Cisco IOS, Juniper JunOS, or an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.

- Base salary range: $65,000 to $83,000.
