## Description

We are seeking a CAD Drafter II to join our Power Delivery Solutions Division in Charlotte, NC. As a core team member, you will interact with engineers, designers, and drafters, playing a valuable part in executing drafting of accurate drawing packages for utility power delivery projects, using MicroStation and AutoCAD.

In this role, you can expect a fast-paced, diverse work environment with flexible work hours and arrangements. You will have access to technical and non-technical training opportunities and a mentorship program.

Responsibilities:

- Complete drafting assignments on Protection & Control, SCADA, Communications drawings, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, and Control Building Layouts.

- Complete drafting assignments on Physical Electrical drawings, including General Arrangement, Electrical Plans, and Electrical Elevations.

- Provide cross-office CAD production support as needed, coordinating with CAD leads across Leidos offices.

Qualifications:

- Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design degree or equivalent experience.

- 4+ years of drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

- Knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures.

- Proficiency with Windows operating system environments and Microsoft Office products.

- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with utility substation drafting.

- Experience with file sharing, document management, and collaboration tools.

- Ability to understand and implement client CAD standards.

- Experience with 3-D modelling in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, etc.

- Programming knowledge of VBA and/or AutoLisp.
