## Description

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Backend Engineer for its Platform Readiness team. The engineer will contribute to building and maintaining agentic workflow components and evolving the platform requirements knowledge base. This role involves working on concrete, high-impact problems while developing expertise in platform readiness automation and AI-driven systems.

**Responsibilities:**

- Build and maintain agentic workflow components on the Duo Agent Platform

- Contribute to the platform requirements knowledge base

- Develop integration surfaces for feature teams to engage with the Platform Readiness team

- Collaborate with platform teams to translate their expertise into platform readiness artifacts and domain skills

- Write clear and concise documentation and evaluations

**Requirements:**

- 2+ years of software engineering experience with a backend focus

- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Golang

- Comfort with reading and contributing to schemas and structured content

- Experience with Kubernetes and reasoning about failure modes

- Ability to work asynchronously and communicate clearly in written form

- Exposure to LLM APIs, prompts, or agentic frameworks
