## Description

Faculty is seeking a Software Engineer to join their National Security and AI Safety business unit. The successful candidate will deliver bespoke AI solutions for clients, building scalable machine learning systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role involves:

- Building and deploying production-grade ML software, tools, and infrastructure

- Creating reusable, scalable solutions to accelerate ML system delivery and capability testing

- Collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and commercial leads to solve client challenges

- Leading technical scoping and architectural decisions to ensure project feasibility and impact

- Defining and implementing standards for deploying machine learning at scale

- Acting as a technical advisor to customers and partners

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

- Building LLM applications and familiar with multi-agent harness tooling and AI Safety evaluation procedures

- Strong Python skills and software engineering best practices

- Cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Container and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

- Core ML concepts, including probability, statistics, and common learning techniques

- Full machine learning lifecycle and experience operationalising models built with frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
