## Description

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Software Engineer II (Android) to join their team. This is a full-time onsite position that requires four days of onsite work per week in one of their technology offices.

The team is responsible for building world-class news experiences for ABC News, and the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements to users.

Responsibilities and duties of the role include:

- Developing feature-rich native Android and AndroidTV applications

- Identifying areas for growth within team processes and developing new systems for collaboration

- Writing clear, well-tested, performant code

- Working with other developers to create sustainable, well-architected solutions

- Managing production issues and solving novel problems

- Supporting peers through code review and pair programming

- Creating opportunities to learn and improve the codebase

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $124,900.00 - $167,400.00 per year and in Glendale, CA is $119,200.00 - $159,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
