## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies across billions of customer records. You'll drive the transformation of claims management within the bank, leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering outsized impact.

**Responsibilities:**

- Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver products customers love

- Leverage technologies like LLMs, LangChain, Python, Ray, Spark, and AWS to operationalize insights from huge volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Lead individual contributors and shape the roadmap of the space

**Requirements:**

- A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related)

- 7+ years of experience performing data analytics (for Bachelor's), 5+ years (for Master's or MBA), or 2+ years (for PhD)

- 2+ years of experience with open-source programming languages, machine learning, and relational databases

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- PhD in STEM field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience with AWS, agentic workflows, people management, Python for large-scale data analysis, and machine learning

**Salary:**

- McLean, VA: $229,900 - $262,400

- New York, NY: $250,800 - $286,200
