## Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team at Primary Children's Hospital Taylorsville Campus.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

**Responsibilities:**

- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures

- Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards

- Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash

- Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards

- Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

- Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety

**Requirements:**

- Demonstrated communication skills, including differentiating colour-coded labels and/or chemicals, and following written and/or verbal directions

- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department

- Professional housekeeping experience (preferred)

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs

- Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately

- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy

- Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment, and work on hands and knees, bending to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment

**Schedule:**

- Full-time (40 hours/week)

- Tuesday-Saturday, 2:30pm-11:00pm, rotating holidays

**Salary:**

- $17.68 - $22.99 per hour (dependent on experience)
