## Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to join the Data and Insights team within Global Payment Solutions (GPS) at HSBC. The successful candidate will provide advanced analytical support across GPS globally, driving informed decision-making and optimising business performance.

The role involves delivering ad-hoc analytical projects, developing data strategies, and creating actionable business intelligence to anticipate trends and improve commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a robust analytical background, proficiency in programming languages such as BigQuery, SQL, Python, or R, and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) analytical tools.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering analytical support across multiple global customer, product, and channel initiatives

- Contributing to the establishment of global analytical best practices and standards

- Designing and implementing analytic solutions that generate significant financial value

- Assessing statistical models and tools to ensure they are fit-for-purpose

- Managing analytic deliverables supporting global Operating Plans and performance management

- Championing a data-driven culture and embedding analytical insights into strategic decision-making

The successful candidate will have a combination of relevant experience and education, such as several years of progressive analytical experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, statistics, economics, finance, information systems, or operational research. They will also have advanced quantitative and analytical skills, technical proficiency in programming languages, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
