## Description

Leidos is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to work in its Huntsville office. The role involves testing software for Tactical strike guided munition programs, focusing on automated testing, development of robust software test infrastructures and frameworks, integration testing, and formal software qualification testing.

**Primary Responsibilities**

- Participate as an integral team member in test planning, test strategy and design, test execution, software engineering processes, and recommendations on product quality.

- Review, edit, and generate various documents used for engineering and testing purposes per industry standards.

- Learn from more senior test engineers and communicate frequently with software developers and other team members.

**Basic Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

- 2+ years of relevant technical experience with a BS degree.

- U.S. citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

- Relevant technical experience in testing and/or troubleshooting embedded software or embedded-adjacent applications.

- Experience performing software tests on multi-disciplinary projects and implementing software test automation.

- Ability to develop software in C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby programming languages.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Experience writing user interface (UI) tests with automated UI testing technologies.

- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE 12207, CMMI, DO-178C and/or DO-278, MIL-STD-882e, RMF.

- Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and application.

- Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices technology.

- Great communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and government customers.

The pay range for this job is $69,550.00 - $125,725.00.
