## Description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Health's Garfield Memorial Clinic.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care.

Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care under the direction of a clinician, gathering information relevant to a patient's visit and condition.

- Communicate effectively with patients through various modalities, including telephone and in-person interactions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality patient care, paying attention to detail and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience, or a current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.

- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.

- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver high-quality patient satisfaction.

- Ability to protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.

- Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.

- Current national MA certification from a recognised certifying organisation.
