## Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Raymond, Ohio. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional divisions to develop automotive body structures and components that meet or exceed customer expectations while balancing vehicle performance, styling, marketability, manufacturing, profitability, and other design constraints.

Responsibilities:

- Create and manage 3D models, component layouts, and detailed 2D engineering drawings using CATIA to support vehicle and component development.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including design teams, test departments, styling studios, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and other cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

- Lead supplier part development activities by establishing design targets, reviewing progress, and confirming the ability to meet quality, cost, performance, and timing requirements.

- Support component and vehicle verification activities, analyze test results, and develop countermeasures to address design or validation concerns.

- Estimate, monitor, and manage part cost, weight, and investment throughout the development process, including the review and evaluation of supplier quotations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- 0 to 2 years of relevant engineering experience.

- Recent graduates with internship, co-op, or project experience are encouraged to apply.
