## Description

Britain's energy system is facing an increasingly complex landscape of emerging threats, and Ofgem is at the forefront of the fight to protect its resilience and safeguard consumers.

We are looking for a Senior Policy Lead to join our cross-cutting Resilience Hub at a pivotal time, with the chance to help build capability and establish a stronger, more coordinated approach to energy-system resilience.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Great Britain's energy system, significant policy or regulatory experience, and the ability to exercise sound judgement in complex, fast-moving environments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing policy, strategy, or regulatory recommendations on complex issues

- Translating evidence into practical, proportionate action

- Building trusted relationships and influencing across organisational boundaries

- Synthesizing technical, policy, economic, and regulatory evidence into clear advice for senior decision-makers

**Person specification:** Essential Criteria:

- Strong knowledge of the GB energy system, its principal institutions, and the policy and regulatory frameworks

- Significant experience of developing policy, strategy, or regulatory recommendations

- A strong track record of working effectively in ambiguous, emerging, or fast-moving environments

- Experience of building trusted relationships and influencing across organisational boundaries

- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

- Knowledge or experience of energy resilience, security of supply, infrastructure resilience, emergency preparedness, climate adaptation, or critical national infrastructure
