## Description

ICIS is looking for a Lead Data Scientist or Quantitative Analyst to join their Analytics Hubs in Karlsruhe or London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating market-leading predictive models and interactive analytics for market fundamentals, prices, supply, demand & trade in the context of Chemicals.

Key responsibilities include:

- Creating and continuously improving analytical commodity market models in Python

- Guiding, project-managing, developing & retaining market modelling talent

- Connecting, cleaning, and imputing freight, pricing, and supply/demand datasets from diverse internal and external sources

- Creating interactive analytics, planning and decision support tools that utilize data & models

- Discussing models with customers and sharing domain knowledge

- Working goal-driven and self-organized with own project management responsibility

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in predictive modelling in the context of (commodity) markets or trading

- Experience working as a team goal driven directly with internal/external customers

- Production-ready code in Python and SQL

- Data modelling, transformation, and visualization skills

- Experience with software development, containerization, and orchestration
