## Description

We are seeking a Principal Drainage Engineer to join our specialist Drainage Design team in Bengaluru. As a Principal Drainage Engineer, you will have experience in the water sector and lead the development and delivery of drainage projects through various stages of the design process, from feasibility to planning/detailed design and onto construction.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare designs in accordance with standards and protocols

- Conduct technical checking and design reviews

- Train and mentor junior staff

- Lead and attend design review meetings and progress meetings with Clients

- Prepare fee estimates, staff utilisation forecasts, and define project scopes

- Manage a small team and perform line management responsibilities

- Work with the Team Lead to set out developmental goals for the team

- Engage with the Lead region to secure projects and improve team utilisation

- Assist the Team Lead in resource allocation on projects

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years' experience in a consultancy environment

- Proven track record of dealing with Clients and forging effective relationships

- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Experience working to UK standards

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation & Civil3D

- Proficient in standard MS Office software and Causeway Flow/MicroDrainage

- Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer within 1-2 years

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering
