## Description

Leidos' Defense Systems Mission Assurance is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join its Space Systems team in Huntsville, AL. The primary responsibilities will be with the Wide Field of View (WFOV) program, which is an optical payload on a missile warning and tracking satellite.

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring mechanical and electrical spaceflight hardware meets all requirements. Your main tasks will include:

- Supporting 2nd shift operations (approximately 3 pm – 11:30 pm) at the assembly facility in Huntsville, AL

- Performing quality inspections to verify that optical components, mechanical assemblies, electrical cables, and integrated hardware and testing activities meet specified drawing/specification requirements

- Working with engineering and production team members in an interactive and collaborative environment

- Working in a fast-paced development and production clean room environment with minimal supervision

- Ensuring nonconformances are properly documented and coordinating final dispositions with engineering

- Performing receiving inspection, logging shelf-life material, performing First Article Inspections, compiling End Item Data Packages, and measuring parts using standard measuring equipment

The successful candidate will have:

- A High School diploma or GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience performing quality inspections or assembly, integration, or testing of high-performance systems

- The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

- Knowledge of standard inspection and measurement equipment

- The ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing requirements

- Experience with Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office tools

- The ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

- The ability to pass an eye exam for visual inspection

The pay range for this position is $48,100.00 - $86,950.00.
