## Description

We are looking for a General Liability Claims Adjuster to handle and supervise complex and litigated liability and property claims.

As a Liability Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating coverage, liability, and damages, negotiating with contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys, and maintaining a pending and closing ratio of 100%. You will also establish and maintain reserves and payments, present large loss reports, and communicate with managers and internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims

- Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients

- Interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage

- Plan, organise, and establish priorities to meet various responsibilities under critical deadlines

- Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary

- Direct and monitor defence counsel to settle litigated claims

- Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to protect clients' interests

- Stay up-to-date with current case law, statutory law, and DOI regulations

- Determine, evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims

- Demonstrate sound analytical skills

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

- 5-7 years of experience handling commercial general liability claims

- Adjusters Licence required (NY preferred) or willingness to obtain additional licences

- Proactive, independent, dependable, and takes initiative with consistent follow-through

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Superior time management skills with capability to work with and meet deadlines

- Exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritise with excellent organisation and documentation skills

- High level of attention to detail with ability to utilise decision-making and problem-solving skills

- Capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision

- Exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information
