## Description

We are seeking a motivated Surface Design Engineer to join our team at Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team, one of two Red Bull-owned F1 teams. As a Surface Design Engineer, you will be responsible for generating aerodynamic surfaces required to support the aerodynamic development programme.

Responsibilities:

- Assess surface quality and legality of all group project surface files and provide feedback as required

- Develop time-saving efficiencies within the surface model structures

- Work with CAD specialists to develop software improvements, including macros, to increase efficiency in the surfacing and model design process

- Monitor and adjust project specifications to suit varying workload and deadlines

- Finalise files, including legality checks, of surface to be released to full-size production

- Maintain appropriate reference documentation

- Provide guidance and tuition to junior surface designers

- Execute day-to-day tasks, including keeping aero tracking systems up to date

Additionally, you will be expected to:

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team

- Act as a cross-functional point of contact for other relevant departments and engineering disciplines

- Work closely with the team to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the surface design team

Requirements:

- Strong degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar

- Solid foundation of engineering principles and the application of them to engineering problems

- Experience in CAD systems, preferably in Siemens NX

- Microsoft Office literacy

- Clear and concise communication

- Ability to plan and manage own workloads

- Continual personal development with a bias to time and quality efficiencies
